TWO FARM SHOPS, TWO RESTAURANTS, TWO LOCATIONS, ONE VISION
We are Walsingham Farms Shop Partnership, with two farm shops and two restaurants where we offer our excellent locally sourced food, either ready to cook or on your plate.
Our vision is to connect our great local producers directly with customers and fill our shops and restaurants with the best of fresh local Norfolk produce. We are in the heart of rural North Norfolk surrounded by farmland, with almost everything available on the doorstep. We know our customers today want to know where their food comes from, and to buy the best of local produce at a good price.
As farmers we would love our customers to understand more about how food is produced locally and how the countryside is shaped by food production. On days such as Open Farm Sunday, and through school visits and our farm walks, we like to think we already do something useful for countryside education, and hope to do more.
We sell an amazing choice from Norfolk producers: not only farmers, but market gardeners & allotment holders, cheesemakers, millers, beekeepers, brewers, home cooks and jam-makers.
OUR BUTCHERY
We have our own top quality butchery, with a team of highly experienced, skilled butchers on hand in each shop. All our meat is produced to the highest possible standards, with our locally produced Walsingham beef hung for a minimum of 21 days but often longer. We offer the best quality fresh meat, poultry and game from our own farms and other local suppliers, with game in season from the Walsingham Estate and venison from our neighbours at Houghton Hall. We prepare delicious oven ready joints, such as stuffed pork loin or meats in marinades, plus our own pure beef burgers and a great range of sausages, and always have plenty of choice for the barbecue.
OUR KITCHEN & DELI COUNTERS
You can watch the cooking as it happens in our open-plan kitchens in our shops, as we make our delicious meat pies, pasties and quiches, ready meals, fresh soups, sauces, fishcakes, casseroles, cakes and puddings. At the deli counter you can also find plenty more to choose from, including all the local artisan cheeses that we can source.
EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS
Locally baked artisan bread, outstanding cakes home-made in the village; Pointens milk and yoghourt from Melton Constable; free-range hen’s, goose, duck and quail’s eggs from Top Farm, Great Snoring; flour, muesli, dried fruit and pulses from the Letheringsett Watermill outside Holt; smoked fish and fish pâtés from Cley Smoke House; honey from Walsingham Apiaries, and more locally made jams and pickles, mustards and sauces than we can list!
DRINKS
Walsingham is in the heart of malting barley country, and we stock an interesting choice of beers and ales from local microbreweries. Cider is made in Wells-next-the-Sea and we offer a varied selection of wine for everyday drinking.
