Liz Curtis is a food scientist with 20 years experience in the food industry. She has worked for a number of retailers and manufacturers, spending over a decade in sales and marketing for the Coca-Cola Company across Europe.
Through talking to friends and family and to master butchers and chefs, Liz came up with an idea to make home cooking and entertaining in the kitchen easier and more fun. Her sachets of ready to use freshly ground spices are perfect for busy people, as they make it quick and easy to rustle up a favourite spicy dish from around the world from scratch, without the need for stockpiling lots of different ingredients, which then quickly go stale in the back of the cupboard. Her sachets work brilliantly with the top quality fresh meat and vegetables from our shop, and you can find them close to the butchery counter and also at the till.
Before launching in 2003, Liz spent almost a year setting up the business, researching the concept thoroughly, and then creating her brand, which would embrace a fresh, new approach to quality home cooking. All the Lizzy B blends are made in Norfolk - as is the packaging - by family-run firms who understand the pressures and enjoyments Liz has, being ‘small’ but with a big passion for quality and customer service. Lizzy B is only available through independent farm shops and butchers and Walsingham is one of Liz’s favourite customers.
“I love visiting Walsingham," she says, "and always end up loaded with lots of fresh goodies for the family!"
